Prague Private Boat Tour – 4 Hours
Our driver will pick you up at the place of your stay in Prague and he will drive you to the boat. Our boat docks in the city center, right below hotel Prezident. There our private captain/guide will greet you and together we will start the 4 hour private river cruise. First we will head east through Stvanice lock toward modern residential areas. We will sail around Holesovice, Karlin and Liben districts. All three neighborhoods used to be industrial zones in the 19th century and nowadays are perhaps the hottest real estate in Prague where many developers build new apartment buildings. So we will see a lot of modern architecture as well as old industrial docks and other buildings. We will also see plenty of houseboats and a few modern bridges. Afterwards we will head back through the lock into the historical city center. We will sail under the Charles Bridge, along the Old Town weir and near the Old Town water mills. We will cruise into the Certovka canal, a tiny canal where only small boats can go and which was nicknamed the Venice of Prague. We will also enjoy beautiful views of the Prague Castle. At the end of the second hour we will go through Smichov lock into the southern parts of Prague. The private boat tour will continue through the New town of Prague, Smichov and all the way to Barandov rock. Smichov used to be industrial and now has a lot of offices and residential buildings, similar to Holesovice. We will see many people living in houseboats in Smichov dock. We will sail underneath Barrandov, where the famous Barrandov studios are located. Many Hollywood movies were shot there. Afterwards we will head back to the Charles bridge and finish the private Prague river cruise in the Old Town or the Kampa Island where the captain will drop you off. During the private river cruise there will be options to stop for restrooms as well as refreshments. In Liben we can get drinks and food from Kolkovna Dock. In the city center there is the Brewery boat, which has a drive through for boats. In the New Town we can pull over at Náplavka, the river side with many cool bars.
